Golconda Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: GA), (the "Corporation") announces that Sid Dutchak has been appointed as the Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Former President Guenter J. Liedtke has been appointed as the Corporation’s Vice President of Exploration.

The intention of the Corporation to appoint Mr. Dutchak was previously announced in the Corporation’s press release of May 12, 2008 in relation to the purchase of Lyncorp Drilling Services Inc. The board of directors of the Corporation has determined that it is in the best interests of the Corporation that the said appointments take effect at this time.

Mr. Dutchak was previously the President of Cordy Oilfield Services Inc. (formerly QCC Technologies Inc.) from March 2001 to July 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Dutchak was a director of QCC Technologies since 1999. Mr. Dutchak has previously served on several public company boards.

These appointments are effective immediately and are subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
